Having just returned from the Love & Hope International Film Festival (L'HIFF) in Barcelona, I'm both exhausted and exhilarated. The festival was a melting pot of creativity, where filmmakers from all over the world gathered to showcase their unique stories and perspectives.

My reason for being at L'HIFF was to attend the premiere of the feature film, 'Gimp And The Hitman' at its first outing. You'll see actor Jon-Paul Gates standing next to the poster in the photo.
It was a really incredible experience as I know just how much hard work went into the creation of this film because I supported the cast and crew during filming with on-set coaching and Reiki healing to help them deal with stress and get them through the tight 16 day (!) schedule.
During my time at L'HIFF, I had the privilege of attending screenings of thought-provoking films that challenged societal norms and pushed the boundaries of storytelling. The passion and dedication of the filmmakers were palpable in every frame, as they poured their hearts and souls into their craft. It was inspiring to witness the power of cinema to spark conversations, evoke emotions, and drive positive change.
As I reflect on my experience at L'HIFF, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to be part of such a vibrant and inclusive celebration of cinema. The festival not only showcased the talent and creativity of independent filmmakers but also served as a reminder of the universal language of storytelling that connects us all, regardless of our backgrounds or beliefs.

Being part of the filmmaking process allowed me to witness the dedication and passion of everyone involved. From the early stages of rehearsals to the final shout of 'Cut!', the journey was filled with challenges and triumphs.
Indeed, the experience reinforced the importance of prioritizing our wellbeing and mental health, especially in high-pressure environments like the film industry. Taking care of ourselves allows us to perform at our best, both professionally and personally, and enables us to navigate the complexities of creative endeavours with grace and resilience.
